Frequently Asked Questions
What makes your coffee different than what I buy at…?
We roast only specialty grades of coffee, meticulously prepared and sourced. These coffees have distinct regional character and offer a more varied and interesting coffee-drinking experience.
Everything we sell is freshly roasted, and we always label it with a roasting date. As a rule, we recommend using roasted coffee within a couple of weeks of its roast date, or freezing it if you plan on storing it longer.
Do you sell coffee for espresso? For auto-drip? For…?
Yes! The short answer is that any coffee can be used for any brewing method. Do we have preferences and recommendations? You bet we do. We’ll include that in the product descriptions, but feel free to use the contact form if you have more questions.
Is your coffee organically grown?
Some coffees are, and when one of our producers indicates that, we’ll include it in the description of the coffee.
How does local delivery work?
Local delivery is available in an around Ann Arbor, where we are based. Delivery is a low flat fee of $5.00 and we deliver once a week, typically on Wednesdays. Coffee is roasted to order, no sooner than 2 days prior to delivery, and we’ll contact you when your order is ready for delivery.
Order with confidence- satisfaction is guaranteed.
Can you ship coffee?
At the moment, we can’t ship to you. Coffee is available only for local delivery within the Ann Arbor/Dexter/Ypsi area (qualifying orders deliver for free!) or for in-person purchases at farmers’ market. This is a requirement of the Michigan Cottage Food Law, and we hope to expand to a fully licensed operation in the future.
